Beth started practicing at Healthy Changes in December of 2017 when a dear friend recommended a Pilates Reformer class for chronic back pain. “I had been in pain for the greater part of two years due to disc herniation in my lower back. L5-S1 herniation is a common injury and while surgery can help, I really wanted to avoid it. Over the past year, I have transitioned my exercise program from intense workouts at the gym (which were compounding the problem) to the intense, but effective practice of Pilates.”
For the past 14 years, Beth has worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of specialties covering the gamut of body systems. Most recently, she practices in the Pulmonary/Critical Care department. She loves her work as a nurse as it gives her opportunities to connect with many people and assist them in achieving and maintaining better health. “I think we all need a little help when it comes to living our best lives and I intend to combine the knowledge I have attained over the years as a nurse with my passion for Pilates to be a well-rounded, capable, compassionate and effective instructor. I am currently enrolled in the Comprehensive BASI Teacher Training program at Healthy Changes and look forward to further deepening my practice and sharing it with others!” When she is not at the hospital or the studio, Beth is at home with her husband, Andrew, her 5 year old twin sons, Samuel and Christopher and their 14 year old Maltese, Brady.
Beth's passion, witty personality and compassion will give you a unique Pilates experience!
